We spent the best day bike riding through the rice fields in Comporta, thanks to Comporta Electric Bikes. This was one of the many times we’ve hired bikes from CEB and they never let down. Biking through the rice fields is a fantastic experience that we always recommend to everyone visiting the place. Besides being in an incredible environment, you can enjoy birdwatching along the ride. It was a superb way of spending our afternoon and we will definitely do it again. There was a wide range of bikes available, and they made sure they had suitable bike sizes available as they asked us for our heights. Communication was easy via WhatsApp, picking up the bikes and setting off was quick and seamless. They did give us some recommendations for routes through the rice paddy fields towards Comporta, however the instructions were quite vague and it took us some time to work out how to actually get there. Bikes themselves were good, but for a few niggling issues with them (eg making a ticking/clicking noise and handle bars wrong way round). At the end, payment process was a bit confusing as their card machine was apparently broken so either cash or via bank transfer. We paid via bank transfer, which did take around 10 minutes after we dropped the bikes off which was not ideal as we were keen to head onwards to the beach.Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The fat tire e bikes were excellent and really useful for getting between beach’s- restaurants etc if you don’t want to drive or park. Great bikes and service from Laurent! When we collected them he told us that the tide was out so suggested we go down to the beach and use them on the hard sand there - great idea and a real blast.
